Hi

I am just using this for accountability i think- but please feel free to chat, give tips or do this with me!

I am 5ft, and weight 18 stone (i know, disgusting!) I dont really know when or how i got like this, i have always been 'bigger boned' (i know its not the bones to blame) but then when i learned to drive, earned my own money and got a boyfriend my whole life became about food! I am massive, size 20-22 and i feel sick looking at myself. I am getting married next year and desperate to look good, and look good on honemoon! We have never been on a hot holiday before as i dont want him seeing me in a swimsuit. I have a year to get my arse into gear and sort my self out.

I am also really concerned about loose skin but i will have to cross that bridge when i come to it.

heres hoping 2023 is the year!

Didn’t want to read and run. I guarantee you are not disgusting.

what is your strategy for losing weight? Are you calorie counting or joining a weigh in club? Or something else?

good luck!

How have you decided to begin?

Making some small sustainable changes to start with, then adding to them is easier than making huge drastic choices.

Go for a 15 minute walk daily.
Swap sugary drinks for sugar free.
Eat a bit of fruit for snack instead of biscuits.

Things on those lines start the process and give you the feeling you are winning at this.

first of all, thank you for your kindness i am overwhelmed that you have commented. Ive joined the gym, did an hour last night and the night before- having a night off tonight. I have ordered a step tracking watch and aiming to really up my steps. I am also calorie counting - i am aiming for 1400 calories for now

Hi and I know you won’t be disgusting at all. It is harder the shorter you are though as we don’t carry it so well.

It sounds like you have a plan but don’t be afraid to tweak it and if you have a bad day just get straight back on it. Don’t beat yourself up or give up.

it sounds like you are really motivated but to keep that focus maybe like some pages of the resort you are going to and then when you scroll through social media you get random inspiration.

Good luck!
