Vegetarian gastric bander

I think I am 4 and a half stone overweight at 60. I am FAT. I can't even weigh myself because if it's over 14 stone I'll die.
My gastric band is too tight and I can't get nice salads and fruits past it without them getting stuck so I've been eating crap - crisps, chocolate, icecream.
My knees and back are killing me because of my weight. I work full time and I'm struggling to get about.
So stupid, I insisted they tighten the band up to the max a few years back not realising that isn't how it works.
I'm back off there on Saturday to get a few mls taken out of it so I can eat lovely healthy vegetarian food again.
That's going to cost me £150. Gastric bands are not quick fixes, they are just tools to make you full quicker, they don't tackle emotional eating, binge eating or eating disorders. Complete waste of money.
I'm having therapy instead for my eating disorder and once the band is loosened again I'm going back to batch cooking for the week and eating salads and fruits.
I HAVE to loose weight this year before I damage my joints permanently.
Anyone else a vegetarian dieter?
