Body Coach App

Have subscribed to the Body Coach app for a year as he had a good deal on. You get meal plan and exercise all worked out for you.

It's three meals plus two snacks a day, they calculate your basal metabolic rate to create meal plan for you. If you dont want the meal on the plan theres a "create your own" option to help you create your own healthy meal.

The exercises you can tailor to whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Your plan is split into three cycles, each lasts four weeks. Once you complete those three cycles you move onto next one. All the workouts for me are about 25 mins HIIT, with options for shorter workouts some days.

There's also space to add your measurements and photos.

I chose it cos a) I like Jo and his focus on mental wellbeing rather than the scales b) his recipes are meals I'd happily eat c) I don't feel like I am being deprived d) its all worked out for me.

I am worried though that I might be a bit naive cos I hate exercise lol so time will tell. There is a Facebook community group, everyone is friendly but they're all at different stages of the journey and I got overwhelmed by some people who are using the app plus training for a marathon plus doing extra HIIT - wish there was a group just for newbies or lazy people like me!! I have anxiety anyway so might avoid the group for a bit and log my experience here instead.

I am hoping to start next week- DD will be back at school and I can plan my supermarket shopping :) would love to have a Body Coach buddy!!

Nike Training Club have added workout videos to netflix. I'm only doing the Body Coach workouts but will try the yoga videos that they've added to netflix. I find sitting down in front of a laptop for work all day isn't great for my body and been meaning to try yoga.

I'm thinking of signing up as well. Not sure if to do monthly or annual as some reviews of the app are not great (glitching etc)

I've played around with the app and it seems fine, bit annoying that there is no video explainer on how to use it and you have to figure it all out yourself- I am tech savvy but this still annoyed me esp as no explanation on what "the plan" actually is!

Hi I am a member of this. I was doing really well last year (for me, not marathon s or anything like that!) then I damaged a disc in my back and then caught covid and it was Christmas and currently my covid recovery is still at the walking stage, my chest won’t cope with HIIT or deep breathing at the moment. Can’t wait to feel better!

I am happy to join and support and give any advice if I can. I am on the vegan plan.

I haven’t had any issues with glitches apart from occasionally on the live workouts, but there are so many other workouts that you can do something else and the live one will be saved on the app when it’s done so you don’t miss out and tbh it’s not interactive so doesn’t really matter if it is done live.

I prefer the Yoga with Adrienne videos on YouTube for yoga so I tend to do those. I also have a Les Mills subscription so I like to mix it up and enjoy spinning/ RPM.

I agree that it all feels a really positive experience and you feel better and better for every workout. Joe is really kind and supportive and That works well for me.

Talking of glitches, the live workout at 8am didn't work today so they moved it to 9.30am cos Joe couldn't get on! I woke up at 11am so would have missed out anyway lol
Noticed they have yoga videos on the app with a lady called Lucy so will try those.

I’m signed up! Today was day 1.

Did 30 day program before and found it really good, the workouts suit me and I’ll add some treadmill sessions and yoga.

I’m not aiming to lose weight , more so, get active, eat better and improve my overall well-being.

Day 1 HIIT done and enjoyed the meals.

The app took a while to get my head around, play around with it and you’ll get into the swing of it.

Thinking of signing up this weekend. Do you get a 7 day free trial with both the annual and monthly plans or is it just with the monthly one?
