NHS Weight Management Service - anyone on it now?

I’ve got my first call next week and am hoping it will help keep me motivated, anyone on it right now? Is is useful / helpful?

Ive got three stone to shift, urgh.

I googled and found this and sent a text to the number back in October- it’s taken till now to access it and you have to be over a certain BMI but if you are eligible it’s free support www.nhs-health-trainers.co.uk/services/east-riding-of-yorkshire/healthtrainers/weight-loss/

I wish this was in my area!! I asked my GP for help back in probably May-June time. I was really hoping I’d get a voucher for weight watchers (although I’ve since realised there are no WW groups near me…)

Our NHS (midlands) puts on its own group sessions :/ they’re in the middle of the working day, an hour and half long. 45 minutes of group exercise then 45 minutes of some talking. Fuck. That. Even if I could overcome all the internal reasons I couldn’t join the exercise part, how the fuck do I get basically 2 hours off work every week?

I also got a call to see if I’d be suitable for CBTE (CBT for eating…). They said I was and I’d go on a waiting list… I got a call in December to ask if anything had changed and if I wanted to stay on the waiting list. I’ve got fatter 🤷🏼‍♀️

i really hope a 1-2-1 trainer will be helpful!!

It’s such a hard thing to do lose weight, you’d think it would be simple but nooooo. Anyway all I have to do is lose 1 lb and then do exactly the same another 41 times.
