Becks Diet Solution

I’m currently reading Beck’s Diet Solution which is a CBT approach to dieting and so far I’ve found it very helpful. It involves two weeks preparation before you start on a diet of your own choice. Then you work through a further four weeks of daily tasks to support you in sticking to your diet and changing your mindset. I plan to extend the two weeks to over Christmas and start my diet on 2nd January (because I’m human and not superwoman). One of the ‘rules’ is that you have to have a diet coach, but she suggests you could use an online group. Does anyone want to join a small Beck’s Diet Solution support group with me? I was thinking I’d commit to four weeks initially to see if it’s helpful.

I am.opening a life coaching with diet and nutrition website after Xmas. I am also currently on a CBT practitioner course.
I would happily do a group to give myself some more experience.
I will have a look at the book if I can. Is it on Amazon?

Hippywannabe · 11/12/2022 14:48

@RegentsParkWolf rih, I have ordered the book, the workbook and her book The diet trap. They should be with me before Xmas. I drew the line at the journal because that worked out at nearly £24 and I bullet journal.
Give me a shout if you want to buddy upx

I'd be happy to join.

When I started my latest diet attempt it became apparent I wasn't fully ready and took me a while to get into it properly.

CBT from what I understand can be very effective.

How much do you weigh @RegentsParkWolf if you don't mind me asking?

Hippywannabe · 11/12/2022 21:03

@TalkToTheHand123 I am excited by the idea of this. I have joined the FB group although that does seem to be mainly American. I could start one for anyone interested in this.
Can't wait for the books to arrive. Have had a look on Pinterest too.

This sounds interesting. I think I'll buy the book now and start reading so I can start the diet after Christmas. I'd be keen to join a group.
