There are loads of support threads on here which is fantastic, but can we have a bit of a summary of how much you have lost, on which diet, how long it's taken and what exercise you do. Thank you.

About two and a half years ago I embarked on an exercise/healthy eating regime. Basically I completely changed my eating habits, cut out all the crap and just stuck to breakfast, lunch and dinner - healthy options for each meal, healthy snacks in between if needed, and I joined a gym. Did mainly cardio stuff, bike, treadmill, cross trainer and some weights. Went three times a week and lost 2 stone in about 8 months. It came off steadily at about 2lb a week. I'm not as committed now as I was then, and probably about 8lbs has crept back on. I'm trying to get back into routine again now.

1st 6lb since end of September on Slimming World. I always stay to group and also go to the gym for an hour 3 times a week.
Still got another stone to go

weight watchers online.

3kg (i think that's about 1/2 a stone) in 4 weeks. Aided I'll admit by a bout of food poisioning.

Did it 2 years ago as well and lost 1 1/2 stone that time, but that was post baby weight. This time it's the weight that i have gained in the 10 years since marriage that i want to lose - would like to hypothetically be able to fit into my wedding dress in time for my 10 year anniversary!

Have lost over half a stone in a month on a healthy eating regime. Trying to walk loads too as don't like gym and boobs too big to jog!

Loved wine with dinner but now only have it at weekends. Bran flakes, banana and skimmed milk instead of toast, butter and jam for breakfast. Miso soup and salady bits for lunch instead of tuna mayo sandwiches.

I enjoy cooking so always make a nice dinner but avoid having potatoes or bread with it. Will still do a roast chicken but instead of buttery mash or roast spuds I pile my plate with 4 or 5 different vegetables. Also still have pasta cos kids love it but a smaller portion for me and always tomato based sauces.

At weekends for a treat we have poached eggs and grilled bacon for brunch.

Even dh has lost 6lbs without even really trying. He said it doesn't feel like we're dieting.

Have lost a stone since in a month on Atkins (well, modified Atkins, as I've had more carbs than strictly allowed but it's worked a treat) and exercise, which is a mix of aerobics classes and working out in the gym around 3 times a week.

Love the bacon and eggs/omelette and salad breakfasts and I eat loads more veggies than I used to along with nuts and seeds, lean meat and low-carb fruit. Love the double cream in my decaf coffee, too! And raspberries with cream for a treat - yum!

Basically I think what's worked is getting rid of refined carbs (sugar, white flour etc) and upping the low-carb veggies. Ladymac, apart from breakfast it sounds a lot like what you're eating.

Now trying to haul myself away from the computer to go to the gym but the spirit is weak today...
