Does anyone subscribe? I've just seen 3 months for £15 , I really need to lose some weight and start proper exercise and wondering I this is a good option, I used to go to the body pump classes and really liked them.

Can you access the different classes at any time?

I’ve subscribed for a couple of years now, which frankly astonishes me! It’s a great range of classes and yes you can access them any time, subject to WiFi (though you can download in advance).

Justcallmebebes · 13/11/2022 19:16

I pay a monthly gym subscription which provides both virtual and live les mills classes and over 5 years my body, strength, flexibility and stamina has been transformed. They're well worth the money but you have to commit to regular classes

Bemyclementine · 13/11/2022 19:33

So if I do the 3 months sub I can access a range of classes at any time?

I have a set of hamd weights in 3 different weights, would I need anything else to get started?

I do and I enjoy it.

I bought second hand spin bikes and do RPM with DH regularly which we enjoy.

I also enjoy the body balance and Shabam workouts.

You can do any workout on there whenever you choose and there are lots of each class on there with new workouts added regularly.

The worst bit is getting the app to work on your tv, we use a Firestick, although it does workout on my iPad.

I would definitely give it a go and try different classes

peplepue · 13/11/2022 19:34

Yes you can. You can select from loads of different classes at any time via the App. Some smart TVs let you add it as a App too

Bemyclementine · 13/11/2022 19:34

@HermioneWeasley sorry I realise you already answered that question. I'm very tempted.

I can't go to the gym (single parent, young DC, no childcare...)

Oh it sounds great, thanks! For £15 I think I'll do the 3 months and see how I get on.

Does anyone know how long the classes last?

OP posts:
BuddhaAtSea · 13/11/2022 19:39

I have it. I swear by body pump, although you do need a set of barbells for it.
I got an offer on Instagram, a year for something like £52.
classes vary from 20 min to 55.

You can do pump with hand weights but if you get into it, it might be worth looking for a barbell set.

A mat would be useful for body balance, you would need a spin bike for RPM and The Trip and resistance bands for core I think and a step for body step, so it depends which classes you want to do as to what you need.

But you can do any class at any time with internet access, like Netflix.

Justcallmebebes · 13/11/2022 19:41

Without equipment, you can do body balance and body combat. Pump is excellent but you'll need a range of weights and a bar

HermioneWeasley · 13/11/2022 19:42

I do pump at home with hand weights

i got really into their “core” series which has done wonders for my back, and that uses a resistance band.

Bemyclementine · 13/11/2022 19:47

I have resistance bands too, and a mat. I can't fit a bike in but if I can do pump I'll be happy.

I'll look into upgrading my weights if I stick at it for 3 months. I used to love going to classes pre dc but just can't now and really hate exercising alone in the evenings, but I need to pull my finger out and crack on.

I have this set, but it was much cheaper when I got it two years ago.
