Menopause weight?

I'm 51, still perimenopasal (I think). 10 years ago I had a gastric band fitted, lost 6st and stayed a steady weight for 9 years, no problem. 12 - 18 months ago, despite no change in diet, I've put on 1st. No big deal I guess but my body shape has changed, i'm flabby too. I can still fit into size 12s but everything is tight and my stomach is worst hit - I permanently look about 6 months pregnant. I'm being stubborn right now and not going to panic into buying a whole new size 14 wardrobe.
Exercise for me is hit and miss due to long-term, fluctuating, chronic health problems so of course this does not help and I know I should strive to be more consistent.
One of the health problems is rheumatoid arthritis (also osteoarthritis) and as well as change in weight/shape, my knees, feet and ankles are almost always swollen.
For last couple of months I've been conscious of avoiding carbs such as bread, rice, potatoes etc, stopped eating processed food, ready meals etc. Chocolsate and biscuits have been banished too. Been careful with salt. Have also been doing 16:8 fasting. Still enjoy odd drink of a weekend but nothing major and not every week. This has helped with not feeling so bloated but can't lose the extra pounds or help with the swelling.
I understand losing weight at this stage in life can be harder for many reasons so not entirely blaming one thing or another.
Anyone gone/going through anything similar and have any advice or tips that worked for them.
