Tummies

I have successfully lost a couple of stones, my arms and legs are very slim now. But my tummy is my despair , I’m sure a lot of the extra three stone I still carry around is based on my tummy. I hate it! Don’t mention sit ups as I can’t do them! The best I can do now after losing a couple of stone is to get myself off the floor without holding on to anything. Handy for a 67 year old granny of a baby and toddler! Any ideas? The fat just won’t shift from there though I can get into smaller sized jeans now. (Thank goodness for Lycra!)

You can't spot reduce fat so doing sit ups or crunches won't make any difference. You just have to keep following what ever you have done to lose the weight so far, maybe add in some more exercise if you can. It will start to shift eventually just keep going.

Mine tummy was the last thing to reduce in size when I lost all my weight, as pp says you can’t spot reduce and only a calorie deficit will reduce weight.

Exercise will help core strength and posture though and there are lots of standing core exercises they now say are more beneficial than crunches, if you have a Google there should be some workouts you can follow.
Congratulations on your weight loss so far.

Just echoing what others have said about the only way to reduce the tummy is to reduce fat over all which it sounds like you are doing really well.

I feel your pain, I am classic apple and all of my weight is on my stomach. I lost 3 stone and am a healthy bmi, great figure everywhere except this saggy ball of fat on my stomach.

I found doing a lot of gentle tummy clenches really targets the belly (I just keep forgetting to do it).
