have been averaging two a day, sometimes three! Its not funny, I can't fit into any of my clothes!

And tomorrow its Dec 1, when dh and I traditionally drink a bottle of wine every night until Christmas!

Help!

Apparently dried fruit is full of fly poo. Best avoided.

Does that help?

Where are you getting them from Enid? If you're buying them then stop, if you work in a mince pie factory then start planning your diet for the new year .

ENIDeepmidwinter · 01/12/2004 13:16

I was so crazy. I got over excited seeing the Duchy of Cornwall mince pies in Waitrose (they sold out last year and I couldn't get any) that I bought 3 boxes. I now only have one and a half boxes left.

I CANT STOP!!!!

motherinfestivemood · 01/12/2004 13:18

Set yourself a Realistic Goal. As in, finish them and don't buy any more?

tammyloveschristmas · 01/12/2004 15:47

Same here. I love them, but i find i cant just eat one.....

EniDeepMidwinter · 01/12/2004 15:50

have eaten: one bowl of porridge, one bite of dd1's croissant

one slice of lentil and cheese quiche (no, it was nice actually) and a big bag of salad and an apple and a miso soup.

Surely I can have just one lickle pie when I get home tonight? Surely?

foxinsocks · 01/12/2004 15:52

it's not the mince pies I have a problem with - it's the half a tub of brandy cream that has to go on top that I think maybe the reason my jeans are already starting to feel tight

bran · 01/12/2004 16:24

Make your own with wholemeal, low-fat pastry and sugar-free mincemeat. Not only will they be better for you, but they'll taste so vile you won't want more than one.

motherinfestivemood · 01/12/2004 16:26

Oh go on, Enid, stuff yourself. It's a bit like trying not to drink too much on New Year's Eve - you know you're going to be vilely hungover the next day whatever happens. Eat, drink, and you and I can be on-line supporters in Health and Effiency in the new year which is, my dear, another day.

Also you have to be Positive Role Model for dd1 whom I seem to remember you were trying to fatten up?

foxinsocks · 01/12/2004 16:37

you must have a mince pie enid because you know next time you go to Waitrose the Duchy ones won't be there so you might aswell enjoy them all now. I also tend to think that the whole of December should be written off (for weight loss) - after all, what are January and New Year resolutions for. Besides, no-one notices a few extra inches around the middle when you have a huge big coat covering most of you up.

all of you

rofl!
