Too fat/large for rides at Chessington?

I am taking my daughter to Chessington during the upcoming half term. She is really excited and is desperate for me to go on all the big rides with her now she is tall enough. Which is fine and I am happy to do but I am worried that I won't fit on any of them. I am on the large side - a size 22 maybe bordering a 24. I am trying to lose weight (always trying) but obviously nothing will change between now and then. Does anyone know if I will face issues? Have people been on the rides there and its been ok for us large ones? I have checked the website but they just give chest measurements. I also worry about the size of my arse!

I cant help as I havent been to Chessington since I have been this big - but I had the same worries about Disneyland Paris - there is a facebook group called Plus Size at DLP which was amazing at putting my worries at rest - there may be a similar Chessington group but I have seen people ask about Alton Towers and other places in the DLP group so may be worth asking there.

How old is your daughter? I found the little kiddie rides – that my under 2yo could go on – quite small/cramped and I'm only a size 14/16 (14 on top/16 on the bottom). I didn't go on many of the bigger rides as I'm a wimp, but the water ones (Gruffalo/Tiger Rock) are benches, so should be fine. But most rides have braces that go over the chest, so bum size would be more about the comfort of your seat and of whoever is next to you – presumably your daughter. You could check your hip measurements against Chessington's chest size recommendation (if your hips are under then I'd expect you'd be fine).
