Hi

Just wondering if anyody has ever tried the 2 week special K slimming challenge where you eat a bowl for breakfast, and again for dinner, or tea, and then a third well balanced meal.

If anybody has how did you find it and did you get good results.

Spaecial K really annoys me - altho it might be 'low-fat' (most cereals are) it is absolutely crammed with sugar. You'd be better off eating a proper breakfast, a large wellbalanced lunch and a small dinner. Oh and walk everywhere.

I think if you do it , it is definitely going to work.
However after those 2 weeks it will all go back on as you will start eating normally again.

I've tried it for around 4 days and gave up. Yes, it's full of salt, it also tastes sickly to me. it's very limiting and you'll be bored which is not a good sign for success. poridge for breakfast is much nicer and helthier but even poridge I couldn't eat for 14 days twice a day. may be sometimes poridge, sometimes low fat plain yougurt with fruit or berries for breakfast and soup for lunch. This time of year soup makes more sence then cold cereal to me. i also wonder what those commersial cereals do to our stomach and lever. Even organic once are so sharp in taste and with milk there is so much controvercy that I'm sure it's okay in moderation but having it twice a day in your cereal I wouldn't call it in moderation. having said that, I'm not a doctor (mind you, I try to avoid them at all cost. They change their advice our the years with so many things. please, all doctors, forgive me. I have some lovely friends who are doctors and there are good doctors, of course).

Yes but apparently it's no good with full fat milk and sugar

sparkybabe · 27/01/2008 21:14

Sugar, Connor? On top of the sugar-coated sugar bombs that make up Special K?

Just forget about them. it's a marketing thingy, not worth it.
