Lewis - are you keeping a diary of what you eat during a normal day? I started doing one yesterday. When I look at what I've eaten it really isn't very much. Today, for example - Bran flakes with skimmed milk for breakfast, cuppa soup with crackers for lunch and a banana, and for tea I had a plate of steamed veg with one organic pork & apple sausage with a yoghurt for tea. Later on I'll have another banana and an orange.

When I lost loads of weight before I didn't restrict my fruit and veg - I ate as much as I wanted. My biggest downfall has always been bread and cheese - I love both, especially freshly baked warm bread.

You've lost two stone already Lewis - that's brilliant - well done. xx

whispywhisp · 24/01/2008 19:34

Just read your blog Lewis.....its very good! x

hertsnessex · 24/01/2008 19:37

love your blog.

good luck.

i could also do with loosing some weight - now i am cracking the non-smoking, getting fit again is next.

i wont be doing a food diary - i know it doesnt work for me - but will be exercising alot more -which is my 'good' trigger.......then food follows.

good luck, im starting my get fit regime next week.

cx

I've never done a food diary before - I lost 9 stone just before I met my dh and didn't do a diary then. I just thought I'd try doing one this time because it makes me realise just how well I'm eating and how good I'm trying to be! I can't wait to lose the weight this time round - it couldn't happen quick enough for me.

Alambil · 26/01/2008 01:02

whispy, yes I've been keeping a diary - it is handy for the weeks you don't lose so much to look back and copy a good week.

It sounds to me as though you need to eat more (I know you are busy though) - you can have meat the size and thickness of the palm of your hand - you could have had 2 sausages and it wouldn't matter.

Cutting down on bread and cheese is good though - loads of veg, not too much fruit in evenings but can have some during day (it is a carb - well, some is, so it won't be burned off over night.. just remember that)

Sorry to get all bossy... !

Hi Lewis...& thanks!

I don't tend to eat too much during the evenings because I find it keeps me awake during the night - although if I do get hungry I will just eat some fruit but not too much.

It's weird actually. Since being on this diet I've not been anywhere near as hungry as I thought I'd be. I drink a lot more water which probably helps.

One of the main reasons why I keep a diary is so I can see what I've eaten during a normal day but also I know if I eat something I have to write it in the diary and I won't want to write 'biscuit', 'cake'...etc etc so its a good form of discipline....'don't eat it - won't have to write it in!'...iyswim!

Hows things going for you? I think you've done extremely well so far.....

With me its all down to discipline and determination and I know I have to lose it and I will.

Lewis, just thought....how about I link to yours and you link to mine?

Alambil · 26/01/2008 20:33
