Suggestion for low-carb lunch Sainsbury

Ha ha not an ad for Sainsbury's!
Rushed out this morning without time to make my usual packed lunch. Going to a training day - the place is next door to a Sainsbury's. Any suggestions for a low-carb low-fat ready meal or something I can get there that won't fuck up my low carb eating? There is a microwave where I'll be so I can microwave/heat something up.

Low carb AND low fat doesn’t seem like a very sensible plan, you’ll be starving? Better to do low carb and have some fat so you’re satiated.

@BuffaloCauliflower Some fat is fine, but I’m not doing a low-carb high-fat eating plan. Low-carb and low-fat has been working fine for me to be honest, and I don’t get particularly hungry, but thank you for your advice. Do you have any suggestions from that particular supermarket, or were you just querying my choices? 😊

Querying to advise. Ready meals are rarely good for lower carb, I’d probably go for some picky bits - pack of roast chicken, veg (like sugar snaps or carrot sticks) some Humous, a bit of cheese etc

@BuffaloCauliflower good ideas, thank you! I think I'll do that. I normally never touch ready meals with a barge pole, it's only coz I'm a bit stuck.

Cauliflower cheese?

memyselfi · 12/09/2022 10:59

Just get a salad surely.
If you fancy something hot maybe a broccoli and Stilton soup, the fat content might be an issue . I've never done low carb along with low fat , I bet that's tricky.

Fage 0% yogurt, they do chicken bits with a satay dip and prawns with a sweet chilli dip.

Sainsburys do protein pots with 2 hard boiled eggs in, and little snack packs of chicken satay, which I like. You could also pick up chicken pieces and light/normal babybels? I'd go for bits rather than a ready meal, probably easier

Thanks all, I managed to sort a good lunch - the boiled eggs were a top tip @Theredfoxfliesatmidnight !
