Slimming knickers advice needed

Very embarrasing but I need some advice on good knickers to smooth out my lumps and bumps.
Up until just over a year I was always a slim 10/12. This year I have just been eating and drinking far too much and am now a big size 12.
I am going to be a bridesmaid at the end of December and am wearing a gold satin clingy dress. It is very unflattering with my new found lumps and bumps and there is no way I am going to get rid of them by then (although must admit I am starting a vigorous gym session Monday).
I was thinking that maybe I could wear some of those big knickers that smooth everything out. I usually wear thongs but don't think that will be a good idea unless I want to scare anyone.
Anyway very about this post but know someone will have some good advice.!!!!!

spanx pants!

never tried them but i read gwyneth P swears by them

apparently without them she looks like, well, a normal person

i think you can get them at figleaves.com

I got advice on this a month or so ago. Apparently you need to buy a size bigger than you are so that bulges don't show.

M&S do a range which I remember from my slimmer days really helpes with the lumps and bumps. Now it's just irrelevant I think they do hold your fat in tights as well for a double whammy have alook on the website. Good luck.

Yes, get them SOON. M&S are often sold out by New Years Eve. So there must be a helluva lot of women in considerable discomfort on that night. They do work but they are uncomfortable and I usually end up thinking sod it and taking them off in the loos about 10 O'clock...
