Hi all
So I have 3 stone to lose after having my baby ten months ago 🙈 I'm only starting now as I didn't want to diet while losing hair ( I'm a recovered anorexic and lost most of my hair due to it years ago , something that I just cannot go through again )
Before I got pregnant I was fit as ever size 10 to 12 at almost six foot , my hair was also amasing

I started eating 1700 kcals a day a month ago , 2 hiits and 2 kettlebell workouts a week
Basically the same think I did before I got pregnant
However .. I've only lost 7 lbs and this last week nothing
I'm obese by the scale and I don't really leave the house because I feel so revolting
We're am I going wrong ? I feel helpless because if I eat less in worried my hair will fall out , I've already experienced severe postpartum hairloss mixed with covid and it's only just stopped ( the hairloss is something I have been terrified of for years )

I'm starting to think the only way I can lose weight is by starving and losing hair too what am I doing wrong why isn't my old habits working

I had a scan on my ovaries for blessing issues and they are fine so no pcos. I've had all the blood work done too because I went to doctors about my hairloss everything is perfect 🤔
God I just wish I could be me again 😭

You're losing though! That's 7lb in a month so just under 2lbs a week which is perfect
Download weight diary lite and it's a tracker, weigh yourself daily and it makes a graph for you to show the trend

7lb is a normal loss for a month and some weeks nothing will show due to water retention etc. You are doing well just keep going. Unfortunately if you are doing it in a healthy sustainable way it just takes a while.

7lb is plenty for a month and personally, I expect that your deficit is too steep. YOu need to be very careful here given the ED history.
PS HIIT isn't the magic weightloss bullet it is touted to be. The only thing that leads to fat loss is calorie deficit

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 19/08/2022 17:20

You are losing exactly right. 1-2lb a week is the recommended way to lose weight. It's sustainable and steady. If you deprive yourself of everything and cut calories too much then you will lose faster BUT you will also be tired, you'll be hungry and craving which will be more likely tonnage you break your diet.

Yes I defo know you can't outtrain a bad diet , but my body looks a leaner quicker when I do hiits kettlebells and watch my diet x
