16:8 and holiday - what would / do you do?

I started 16:8 and healthier eating in July. Seems to be working little bit by little bit (after bigger initial drop presumably due to water weight).

I’ve cut out breakfast (was never a big breakfast eater in general). I eat lunch at 1pm and dinner within the 8-hour window. Healthy snacks. I’ve given up takeaways and takeaway coffees. Had a slice of cake with friends once. So I think I’ve got into some much better habits. (I was previously eating five chocolate bars in one go.)

We’re away for four days in September staying in a lovely five-star hotel. Breakfast is included. On holiday I normally like to wake early, go for a swim then enjoy the hotel breakfast. And have some nice evening meals out with DH.

I’m thinking of pausing 16:8 while away so I can do the above, and just not worrying about it because I’m on holiday. I don’t want to spend my holiday worrying about my diet. I’m not going to go crazy but I would like to just enjoy eating like I used to before I ate all my feelings and they ended up on my waistline!

But is that a bad idea? If you do intermittent fasting what do you do on holiday? Any tips or experiences to share? I would say the holiday is badly timed but it’s what made me want to improve my eating habits in the first place.

Informed answers from people who know about 16:8 would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Meant to say - it was a combination of eating too much crap and also finding weight goes on more easily and stubbornly now I’m in my 40s!
