Long story short - lost 3.5 stone last year on Fast 800 - had another 3 to lose then (gave myself?) got gallstones, severe pain, diet shot and weight crept back on. Had gallbladder taken out in April and since then I've just gained more weight. I'm on holiday and yet again humiliated by my size.

So. Need a nice sensible plan to start when I get back home next week. The high fat fast 800 plan I don't think is great without a gall bladder (but no specific medical knowledge nor advice given). It's just a case of being careful and eating less and cutting out sugary stuff right? Not rocket science?

Can't fit in any of the clothes I bought last year and chucked out most of the stuff from before. I'm such an idiot! 😭

You might be able to tolerate a reasonably high level of fat in your diet. I am not familiar with the Fast 800 but I did have my gallbladder out a couple of months ago. My consultant said I had probably been living with a sub par gallbladder for some time and my digestive system might be used to coping with fat pretty well. Certainly my GB attacks weren't as vicious as I have heard some describe, though they were grim. And I haven't had any particular problems even in the face of a high fat meal, though when I experimented with several on the trot my system grumbled. It's a question of trying it out, if you want to. Results of too much fat are likely to be discomfort, dodgy (floating) poos and maybe diarrhoea. Taking digestive enzymes might help.

Failing that, then yes, I think you just need to diet normally and sensibly. Good luck.
