Anyone lost weight and lowered their blood pressure.

I'm really scared about my blood pressure. I just find myself snacking more than eating.

I'm in the same position. I have to go back to the docs again in November to see if I've lost weight and have my blood pressure readings checked again. I'm on amitriptyline which is making me hungry all the time so haven't lost any weight at all yet. I'm going to have to start seriously dieting soon.

My blood pressure is borderline every time I have it taken at the doctor, and always has been. I've lost 17kg in the last couple of years and was so excited to see how it improved my blood pressure. But it didn't. I think my blood pressure is more related to stress and lack of sleep than my weight, and I get definite white coat syndrome. I'm now focussing as much on relaxing and sleeping as I am on diet and exercise, and finding it just as much of a challenge...

I was at one point told to lose weight to reduce my blood pressure. I went from BMI 25 to 19 and it made sod-all difference tbh. Sometimes high blood pressure is just hereditary or caused by other medications you take and the only thing you can do is medicate it.
