Second baby

I had my son 5 months ago he is my second baby. When I had my daughter 3 years ago I lost the baby weight plus more very quickly and felt great but this time round I'm really struggling to lose the weight. Hardly any of my pre pregnancy clothes fit and it's starting to get me down.
I'm watching what I eat and the weight is slowly coming off just not at the pace I expected. Is it harder to lose weight after your second child or am I clinging to the hope that a real thing?
Need encouragement please

I lost weight much quicker after my second. A few reasons behind it I think, but the main one was that I didn't eat lots of biscuits and cake while breastfeeding second time round - mainly because I had a toddler to run round after, rather than just lounging around with the baby!

I also made an effort to get back to running after my second, whereas I took much longer off exercise with my first.

I put on a lot of weight in my second pregnancy, but ended up a stone lighter than I was before it. Was a size 8 again by the time DC2 was six months old. But more importantly to me, I was also running decent distances/times again by then as well.

I think this is it, I’m hoping diet alone will help. I need to get back into exercising to help me lose the weight! Unfortunately running around after my toddler while bouncing a baby doesn’t count ha.
thank you for the reply
