I always found that it was 7lbs to drop a dress size.

I think it depends on your shape and how much you need to loose overall and whether you exercise. I went to Weight Watchers a few years ago and lost nearly 2 stone (I had a lot to lose) but didn't go down a dress size. I left WW then because we adopted ds, but I stayed the same weight for ages and dropped a dress size a few months later without losing anymore weight. I thik the fat just rearranged itself with all the walking I was doing.

It depends on your height and shape? Shorter you are the less you have to lose IYSWIM

I've lost almost 2 stone and dropped two sizes, so a stone a size in my case

Yes I thought that prog last night with the glammy blondes cooking lower cal celeb recipes was a tad misleading. The 'victim' lost 7 lbs but IMO that isn't a dress size smaller (she just had a better frock ). In my WeightWatching and general dieting experience it is usually around a stone at least to go down a size. As bran rightly states depends on your starting weight and how it is distributed IYSWIM.

probably depends on the style of clothes you wear too

I like things rather TIGHT so it only takes half a stone of extra weight and I am splitting seams
