How much fruit/veg sugar is too much per day?

I have pcos and I’m trying to change my lifestyle and the things I eat. I’ve always liked fruit and veg so I’m trying to eat a bit more.
Today I had yoghurt and strawberries for breakfast
Tuna salad for lunch - cucumber, red onion, sweetcorn, spinach and tomatoes
Avocado and eggs on toast for tea - more spinach and grilled tomato
I’ve also had a banana and an apple.
I track my calories on an app and it shows how much sugar I’ve had. Today was 33.6g of fruit and veg sugars, and 8g of added sugar. It just seems like such a high amount but I’m not sure if it’s something I should be worrying about or not

I checked my daily sugar limit (on 1200 calories a day) and it said 36g so you sound ok

You really don't need to worry about sugar from fruit. Even diabetics are not advised to limit fruit. You only need to watch processed carbohydrates (like white bread, white rice etc) and added sugars. Fruit is mostly water and also has tons of fibre, so the glycaemic load is low and the massive benefits of eating fruit outweigh anything else.

By the way, I also have PCOS and recently spoke to a dietician. The only thing she said was to have dates with a meal instead of as a mid-morning snack on their own. Otherwise fruit was a-ok.
