Well, I am weighing in (thump!) with a horrid confession. I have put on two pounds and I really don't know how, there's been only two small puddings and a couple of tiny chocolate crispie cakes (really tiny, in petit four cases) since last week, and they can't have brought me up to nine stone ten. But something has. Gloom. Never mind, I'm still cycling through the wind and rain and that has to be good for me. Hope everyone else has done better. Furball I am thinking of you with all this rain, you're not in any danger of floods yet, are you? Tortoise, how is the online dating going? Fingers crossed for us all!

Hi everyone and a belated happy new year to you all.

Well since stopping work last May, my weight has been steadily creeping up and up. Last week I decided enough was enough and joined Weight Watchers. Had my first weigh-in yesterday and I have lost 3.5lbs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can stick to their healthy eating plan, and lose the weight.

Everyone is doing so well and there is a lot of motivation out there. Sorry to hear of your gain this week Heavybee, hopefully you will lose it just as quickly as it went on.

Thought for the week! If we lose just half a pound a week, this time next year we will have lost 2 stone. With my past record it is easier said than done, but who knows, maybe this year it will happen

Hello, Smalline, how lovely to see you, but I'm sorry you have to be back with us really! Good luck with Weight Watchers and let's hope that works. I do like your thought for the week and will keep repeating it to myself every time I see something I want to eat....

Tell you what, if I was at home I'd be huge, because I'd be in the kitchen, and then I eat more. The only way I have any hope of keeping the weight off is STAYING OUT OF THE KITCHEN.

Heavybee - you are so kind remmbering/thinking of me - I'm really touched Don't quite know whats going on with floods around here as the ground is sodden but it all seems to be in the fields rather than on roads and only a few have suffered unlike last time.

I've put on a [cough] pound. but am not surprised at 3 meals out last week. Ran on Monday and will go out again today to try and stave off the worst.
