I will never 'throw the scales away' again

91kg 😞😞😞

I used to be 56. What can I do. I cut out meat last year. Food is a pleasure, but being overweight isn’t ☚ī¸

Slow and steady. Firstly, cut out snacks. Limit alcohol to one or two nights a week. Try to do 20 min brisk walk as many days as you can.

Then take it from there. Have one evening a week where you have something you enjoy to eat/treats.

Don't try to lose it too quickly as you'll put it back on again.

I always take the stairs. I park away from work so that I have to walk to and from (only a couple of hundred metres, but not right by the door). I walk/ hike everywhere.

No serious workouts due to a back injury (vicious cycle between needing to lose weight for my back and exercise causing my back to get bad and I can’t risk having to take time off work).

I have a semi desk job, but get my steps in most days.

I definitely eat emotionally and sitting down at the end of the day with a snack/ drink is a pleasure. I don’t drink alcohol.

I don’t know what to do đŸ˜ĸ

I've just been for a walk. I go for loads of walks and it's really hilly where I live.

I knew I hadn't lost wait, but didn't realise had put do much on (11kg since I last weighed). I walked more in lockdown than ever before because I actually had the time.

I'm shattered aftera day's work, day I do tend to rest when home/ fall asleep. In taking more iron/ vitamin d to counteract this, but the weight must be exhausting my poor body.

Cut 1/3rd of your portion sizes down but continue to eat as normal.

I'm similar to you and eating low carb using the mumsnet bootcamp for support. It really suits me because: I respond better to cold turkey than moderation, it improves my energy levels and the quality of my sleep considerably, I don't get the same voracious hunger that I normally do.

Highly recommend.

Yes - I struggle with moderationâ€Ļ I can fast no problem and I don’t mind feeling hungry, but when I eat I want to feel full.

Can you low carb without eating meat? I had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast and won’t eat anything until my next meal.

Yes, you can. I think it gets quite hard if you're full vegan as lots of recipes include eggs and dairy. Come over to the topic as there are loads of resources.
