Over xmas I had the dreaded sickness bug. It was awful, however I lost 10lbs and was ecstatic as it put me at 8stone 8lbs, I felt trimmer, lighter etc etc, and as I am bridesmaid in August, I so wanted to stay at that weight.

So fast forward 2 weeks and I am already back up to 9stone 2lbs and can't seem to stop eating.

Ideally, I want to get back down to 8/8 or therabouts.

So today I have eaten ...

1 boiled egg on 2 peices of white toast with butter
Salmon salad
6 Ferrero Roche (sp?)
1 Satsuma
2 Choc digestives
Cauliflower cheese, mixed veg and 3 thin sausages
8 Party rings
2 peices of toast

God what a pig I am.

Must do better tommorow.

Any ideas of how I can imporve diet, cut down etc greatly appreciated.

I know I eat way too much bread, I am a bread addict.

They are my fave, hence my mum buying me a HUGE tin of them for xmas (god what was she thinking).

Today :

One bowl of bran flakes with semi milk
4 ferrero roche (wish they'd hurry up and go)
1 big bowl of tuna salad with sprinkling of cheese
1 jacket spud with egg mayo
1 Satsuma

So, a bit better today, no bread at all, which is a miracle for me.

That's my favourite chocolate too. i was really hoping nobody will be give them to me for Christmas but one of my friends did. I just had to have them!

I couldn't survive eating as little as you have today. But......

make sure you never buy white bread so at least if you do have bread its wholemeal. Avoid butter, mayo
Have dried fruit & fresh fruit / veg for snacks

nutcracker, the few times I have lost weight it has involved writing down everything I have eaten. It comes as a bit of a shock sometimes doesn't it? All those choccie biscuits one has with a cuppa that one 'forgets' about.

Why don't you allow yourself one treat and one snack a day. The treat could be 1 or two Ferrera Rocher (!) and the snack could be a low fat bag of crisps, or half a bagel or something.

I will be very interested to see how you do. I am cotemplating Rosemary Conley, I have been suckered in by the little portion pots she gives you . Good luck!!

I would like to join in with you if you dont mind ?I am weighing in at 9 stone at the moment... I got maried end of sept and was a toned and light 8stone 5lb, whats happened ?i cant stop eating too, i have given up smoking... day 14 today... so i know i am picking more than nomal. If you dont mind me posting my food as well we could berate each other!!!

I have just spoilt my good day by having tea and toast........argh, I really am addicted to bread.

I am thinking perhaps I should just have toast for breakfast, at least then I won't miss it as much. The eat better for the rest of the day ?

God i have no willpower.

1 bowl of bran flakes

2 smoked salmon and salad rolls (thanks mum )
Salmon, new pots and mixed veg

Wednesday
2 pieces of toast - white bread and butter
2 chicken rolls
4 party rings
2 small jacket spuds with tuna mayo

Today
2 pieces of toast - wholemeal bread with butter and marmalade
1 cheese, cucumber and tomatoe sandwich on wholemeal bread
Tuna pasta bake

Thats it so far, been busy today so not ate as much.

you don't sound so bad at all, I mean doesn't everyone have a never ending botomless biscuit pit? Perhaps more activity is the key?

The only thing I will say is that you don't seem to be eating much fruit and veg, perhaps a bit more would stop you reaching for the biscuit tin?

Have you tried this
It has helped me out, it is a free version of a weightwatchers type food tracker and counts fat/calories etc, it allocates points based on current height/weight but I am using it as a food diary and then I can see exactly what 'naughty things' I am eating.

But you seem to be doing really well though!

B: snack pack of prunes and 1 apple
L: eating out - starter - grilled chicken on sticks with peanut sauce, main - steak with plain rice, pudding - banana fritters with vanilla ice cream (naughty!), teatime will be turkey sandwiches.

Yesterday was very bad.

4 Ferrero roche (thankfully they have nearly all gone).

You are right, I am not eating enough fruit or veg, must try harder with that.

l - tomato soup with chancky veg (shop bought), home made steak and kidney pie with shop bought puff pastry (I had small amount of pastry on my plate0 with mash and peas, raspberry yougurt (made with cream) and tea with jam
tea - chese toasty, tea with jam
