Anyone have painful, achy feet and need to lose weight?

Just that really!
I need to lose around 5 stone. I have been my current weight for around a year, but have never been within the healthy range.
In the last few months, I have developed plantar fasciitis and generally foot pain, stiffness, both feet, especially after being on my feet all day. I have ligament pain from a previous injury that doesn't help.
Not sure if I have anything else going on with my feet, but feel I need to give the weightloss another shot before I head to the doctors.
Anyone want to join, or in the same boat with painful joints?
Or has anyone noticed the difference with aches and pains after weightloss, that I can use as encouragement?

It definitely helps - even half a stone you might see a reduction.

Do see your doctor to get a physio appt though, they can give you exercises that can really help. A massive ball is also really helpful, and you want shoes that are supportive and stiff (other than the toe section)

A MASSAGE ball, not a massive ball 😄

I'll join you! I have pains in my knees and achilles tendon twinges presumably as I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I'd like to lose 5 stones too. Weirdly my plantar fasciitis has been fine though, haven't had the flare up I was expecting. I feel like a tired elephant and look like one too

I find the leather on plastic arch supports from Pavers really help with Plantar Fasciitis but I think you can only buy them instore not online.
As pp I also recommend solid supportive shoes - workboots are the comfiest shoes I've ever worn! Comfy feet = move more = lose weight.

Cod liver oil really helps my aches.

I literally have my feet soaking in hot water as I type Grin I lost 3 stone a few years ago and very early in the process, my feet got less sore and my disastrously cracked heels healed up beautifully.
