I am currently on my first holiday abroad since Covid and for the past few months I've been promising myself I'd lose the lockdown pounds. It didn't happen, and now I'm here and feel completely horrible - a big, fat, sweaty mess.
So annoyed with myself.

If you have an important event that you're looking forward to and you want to lose a few pounds for... start today!

I wish I'd been able to motivate myself. 😔

Aww just enjoy your holiday and worry about it when you get back.

I hope that you still manage to enjoy your holiday, and thank you for the figurative kick up the backside that I needed! Really want to get some weight off before my holiday in July

I was on holiday recently , (not a sweaty mess , it wasn't warm enough) but I did wince when I saw myself in a big mirror .
Menopause has given me the extra middle , but I have to draw the line in the sand and say "No you aren;t welcome , you aren;t staying and you aren't putting the fat there to make me a sure bet for Type 2 diabetes"

I have altered my eating habits a bit , I;ve completely cut out chocolate for the past 5 weeks and there is a difference . Changing my breakfast to a healthier one .

I was reading a post on MN basicallly menopausal middle being inevitable and hormones to blame . But I;m going to do my damnest to shift it !

I know that feeling, been there too many times in the past. Just got back from holiday and when I left I was the lightest I had been in years. Although I have put on a few of those pounds, I’m on it to loose them and more!

I don’t know if this sounds daft, but this time I made a big thing of making sure all my clothes were ironed, my hair straightened and I wore lots of colourful dresses and stuff that wasn’t jeans or baggy and that made me feel good.

I have been putting off booking a dream holiday as I want to be in a bikini and feeling great and comfortable in it.

OP thank you for the kick up the proverbial.

I started a diet this morning and was thinking of giving up again tomorrow! Will stick to it on your behalf and be ready for all the end of term events at school where I always feel like the fat mum.

But I do hope you enjoy your holiday too. If you have a good book and a tasty tipple try to block the horrible thoughts and relax 💐

Put it in the fuckit bucket. Sort it when you're home. X

Just started now for September! Hoping to do a little hike on Enta, but not if I'm lugging an extra 2 - 3 stone.
