16/8, has it worked for you?

If you do the 16/8, how long did you do it for? How much weight did you lose? Was it hard and were you hungry?

I'm thinking about doing it, at least for a while as I really want to lose a stone and although I do low carb, I'm not losing anything at all.

Interested to hear other people's experiences.

I done the 5:2 diet which incoroporates 16:8 if you want too. You get use to being a little hungry, it does pass after 15 mins but i managed to lose 4 and half stone in a year.

I've been doing it since 2013 and don't plan to stop. I have lost nearly 6 stone and kept it off. Breakfast has never been my favourite meal and stokes my hunger through the day if I eat it, so it suits me well as a style of eating.

My method when I first tried it was to have a hot drink (herbal tea) if I felt hungry during a fasting period. I then told myself if I still felt hungry 30 minutes later I would allow myself a snack. 9 times out of 10 I had completely forgotten about feeling hungry.

I lost 1kg doing it for a couple of months but I felt rubbish the entire time, just really weak and nauseous. Seems to work well for lots of people though

I've been doing this unofficially for yonks. I don't eat breakfast, have a low calorie lunch and main meal at around 6/7, when I eat pretty much what I like up to a total day's intake of 1200 calories.

Sometimes I'm very hungry and it's hard but I push through it.

I maintain rather than lose, but I'm within my BMI so happy with this mode of eating.
