I’m starting my Saxenda journey today! Anybody else on Saxenda with tips or success stories? I have about 10 stone to loose so a long way to go.

@EEKE - you are welcome here. Don't let any of the posts put you off, it seems to be a very individual process for all of us. I really hope it works for you, our ages are very similar and I had a good weight loss B in my first week despite being in my mid fifties. Keep checking in, it helps to read about others' experiences

pokerdone · 03/07/2022 12:20

@EEKE I'm starting today as well. Good luck!

Nowisthesummerofourdiscontent · 03/07/2022 12:41

Hello, everyone!
It’s my first day, too. The first jab was surprisingly easy and I hope to lose a stone by the end of August and three stone by Christmas, which doesn’t seem over optimistic by others’ experiences. That would take me back to pre- lockdown levels…

Just done my first dose. I don't know why I was worried!

Thank you! Yes, feel very much better today. I am still very fatigued but the cold sweats have gone. God knows what that was all about, I think it was a saxenda reaction. I am going to increase slowly in future, it seems I am super sensitive to this drug which is unusual for me.

pokerdone · 03/07/2022 19:10

How long did it take for Saxenda to kick in with you?

I have no appetite this evening but I'm not sure if that's a bit of a placebo effect. Or, maybe it's because it's my first day off after a couple of very long weeks and I'm just a bit exhausted?

Thanks for the heads up, @empireemmy. Felt ok today, a bit tired but that might just be the weekend. I think the test will start tomorrow when I’m at work. Can anyone offer reassurance that it doesn’t interfere with work? I’ve been worried that it will make me nauseous, over tired or worse still, the runs. I’ll deal with any headaches.

Morning all and welcome to the new starters. I had to have a couple of days off to relieve the horrendous constipation! Back on again now. Interestingly, I found my appetite didn't come back even with a couple of days off it. Just going to do this week at 1.8 then a break for holiday - don't want to stress about taking it and keeping it cool on a long flight and a tropical holiday.
Now I know it's working for me, I'm less worried about weighing all the time. I know it'll come off if I'm eating so much less.

pokerdone · 04/07/2022 11:19

I can't get over how quickly it's affected me. I am not hungry, in fact I feel like I've just eaten!

Nowisthesummerofourdiscontent · 04/07/2022 12:30

I know! Administering the dose was quicker than having breakfast. Normally I would be ravenous by now. Won't get too excited about it, though. No headache or running to the loo - yet!

Therunecaster · 04/07/2022 12:32

I started on the 23rd of March. 4 stone down today! Booked my first ever riding lesson to celebrate.

Nowisthesummerofourdiscontent · 04/07/2022 12:45

Wow! That's fantastic! How do you feel? Has it come off in all the right places?

Wow! Amazing job. I really want to lose 3 stone.

Madferitchick · 04/07/2022 18:52

Evening all,

Day three and the head and actual hunger has been real today (whereas day 1 & 2 it was reduced - although could well be due to busy weekend so distracted and no boredom eating temptation).

Wondered if people have experimented with time of day they inject, and what effect this has on both hunger and side effects?

I'm currently injecting in the evening, thinking this will help reduce side affects. But wonder if morning injecting would have better effect on hunger levels during the day?

Appreciate any advice/experience xx

Bloody hell that's fab! Well done. How many weeks is that?

takemetomars · 04/07/2022 20:50

3.5 pound off this week. That's a total of 7.5 pounds in 2 weeks. That's really great for me as I am a slow loser. Chuffed. Back up to 1.2 plus five clicks tonight. I think I will def end up on 1.8 but will see how it goes on 1.5

Therunecaster · 04/07/2022 20:51

About 14 weeks. I started at 19 stone down to 14.13 now. I've generally been eating healthily but have a little treat now and then. I feel so much better
