I’m starting my Saxenda journey today! Anybody else on Saxenda with tips or success stories? I have about 10 stone to loose so a long way to go.

Day 31! 3.3kg down, continuing slow and steady. I'm now finding that I am getting a bit hungry for meals but I can't eat anywhere near the amount I used to. I'm serving myself smaller portions and not finishing it.
we are off on holiday this weekend so will be interesting to see if I can maintain the eating less in that environment without taking the saxenda.

How long will you be going without the saxenda for? Could you let us know when the effect wears off?

I'm on day 38 and down 1.5 stone. I started on an extremely low cal diet but felt horrific so I switch between 1000 and 1500 cals per day as I still have a lot to lose. I found having a treat day brings bigger losses at the end of the week. I've recently started experiencing nausea which is awful but I am going to power through x

I know, it's so sad! As a mum of a daughter I would be heartbroken if she worried about her weight but she likes her 'chubby tummy', and mine to be fair, calls it her pillow

Me too, I'm keeping it secret too. My LO is primary aged with ASD, she doesn't need this drama. She does overeat and has a poor relationship with food but we just try to increase fruit, veg and exercise. It's just horrible, many people do not understand and think it's easy but ffs I've yo-yo'd for 25 years and never been slim, lost lots several times but the minute I'm off plan boom, everything back plus an additional couple of stone as punishment Confused

Week one weigh in and I've lost 6lb. I'm really really pleased as this is the first time since the start of the pandemic I've managed to lose anything at all.
It has been a hard slog tho tbh...I've been feeling ravenous most of the time and have had to really pull on my will power to control what I eat!!
Upping the dose to 1.2 tomorrow so really hoping I start to get more of an effect on my appetite/fullness from the increased dose 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Well done! That's amazing and it will get easier as you increase your dose. Just remember that you won't get big loses all the time but even 1lb off is massive in a week! Keep up the fab work x

Ha, I'm going for the bikini this year regardless! I preach to my teen DD that it doesn't matter what your body looks like so I thought I'd better take my own advice!
Ill be having almost 2 weeks off it so will see how I go on.

We went to a family party yesterday. I didn't over eat but I did over drink Confused. Paying for it this morning with a headache and I don't want to do my first week weigh in, in case I've damaged my hard work Blush.

Hello everyone, can I join?

I'm starting week 4 today, up until now I've increased the dose each week but I'm going to stick at 1.8 as it seems to be working and I'm self funding so the longer I can make it last the better! I kind of wish I'd started slower and I had no idea about the clicks thing! I will consider decreasing the dose again at some point but will stick to 1.8 for now.

I have about 8st to lose. In my first week I lost just under 5lbs which was amazing, and 2lbs in my second week. This mornings weigh was rather disappointing with only 0.6lb off!!! I'd been to the gym twice and done loads of walking too.

I have let myself have one or two small treats when out with friends, but they actually feel like treats now which is nice. I used to go to the shop every evening and buy chocolate and cake and just stuff my face, and I haven't done that since I started! I also used to get a bacon roll every morning on my way into work and that has stopped too! And I've not really missed those things. So it's definitely working. I do wonder if there's an element of the placebo effect, as I'm so worried about getting ill on it that I'm making sure I don't eat too much bad stuff 😬.

I've been lucky in that I haven't had any side effects, apart from the day I increased to 1.8 I felt a bit nauseous and dizzy. I take the dose in the evening so I felt the side effects the following day. Maybe that's why I don't notice any side effects, because I take it late? I jab in my stomach, thigh, or upper arm, I try to change it around each day :)

I'm sorry that was a bit of an essay about myself! 😂 I'm also keeping this private so it's nice to be able to discuss it with other people 😊

Hi @drinkallthecoffee I'm a week in now. Had a bumpy weekend but feeling fully back on the wagon today.

I'm sticking to 0.6 for as long as possible, so I'll be interested to see when or if it makes a difference.

Well don't be on your losses so far. I imagine it all evens out so don't be disheartened by a slower week Smile

Hi @drinkallthecoffee , ‘nice to hear your story and welcome! I’m keeping it under wraps, too. I’m still having an evening meal with the family and no-one is noticing my ultra healthy lunch and lack of breakfast. All the puddings and snacks have gone, too.

I’m going into the office this week and there’s always food around so it’s going to be a different challenge then.

I jab in the morning. I’ve only been going a week but not inclined to increase the dose from 0.6 just yet.

About 14 weeks. I started at 19 stone down to 14.13 now. I've generally been eating healthily but have a little treat now and then. I feel so much better

I am inspired by ur success! I have about 7stone to lose and have just done my first week but only lost 2lb, but feel like I have barely eaten so am a bit confused and disappointed. I'm really hoping losses will start to come soon! (Am self funding - like most people on here I don't qualify for help from nhs).
Do u have any tips or advice? Or anyone else for that matter - I don't think my problem is the hunger anymore (which is amazing) but I just need to kick start the weight loss but I'm pretty active already, I cycle and walk every day and am not a big fan of exercise classes, but maybe I need to bite the bullet and start?
I thinking that maybe I am not having enough protein, but I'm Veggi (verging on vegan) so it can be a bit hard to fit that in. I am also wondering if I am just treating this like a magic pill without putting the work in and making enough other changes to my lifestyle.
Sorry for essay!

I love that! I wish I'd discovered Saxenda during lockdown and could've returned to the office looking amazing rather than three stone heavier 🙈😂

@EEKE I always try to remember that weight loss isn't linear. I can gain and lose 3lbs in a 24 hour period!

Are you keeping track of what you are eating? I find nutracheck really helpful.

I've done two days at 1.2 now. Still not feeling any of the hoped for effects, but my god the headache yesterday and today is an absolute killer 😫😫 hoping it disappears soon as I'm not going to be able to put up with it for much longer 😬

Day 7 here, no weight lost so far BUT i have had a couple of meals out and it’s that time of the month so I’m hoping it’s just that. I haven’t had any side effects at 0.6, but yeah, not much result either. Went up to 0.6+clicks this morning. I can’t afford to go beyond 1.2 financially so hoping that does the trick… have about 3 stone to lose.
