I've been really good all week (apart from a steak and cheese subway sandwich from subway one day) and I was looking foward to weighing myself this morning and with my diet and two fitness classes I've only lost about 2 pound for the entire week

I'm clutching at straws here but can "that time of month" make you heavier at all?

Very well done on your loss. 2lbs is great! It's a good healthy amount to lose in one week. If you can lose 2lbs a week for the next six weeks you'll have dropped a stone!

"That time of the month" always causes a gain for me and pretty much everyone other dieter I've spoken to. I hold lots of fluid on the backs of my legs and bum and can gain anything between 1 and 3lbs but it goes once period is over.

How much weight are you hoping to lose?

i can gain 4/5lbs when im due on my period. However its fab the following week when i weigh in and ive got that weight off and more besides!
2lbs is actually very good.
i bet next week you have had a significant loss.
1~2lbs a week is good steady weight loss.
well done, you are doing great.

thanks, I think I was expecting a dramatic change but looking at it realistically that was never going to happen without starving myself.

I'm hoping to lose a stone and a half which would take me back down to 10 stone.

Next saturday I'll weigh myself again when my period is over and done with and I've had another week of healthy food and exercise and will let you know if there is any change
