I had a blood test Friday and a message from my GP today to say I need to lower me Cholesterol. I also have 4 stone to lose, and I am vegetarian.

Does anyone have any food / meal ideas they can share? Im looking into how many grams of saturated fat to limit myself to a day, any other advice? TIA

I found this online, which looks like a good overview of what to eat more of and what to cut out. There’s a vegan version at the bottom of the page.

It all seems to come down to more fruit, vegetables, whole grains and nuts and less saturated fat.

it’s pretty poor if your GP didn’t give you any more advice then just to say you need to lower your cholesterol, but I guess that’s a topic for an entirely different thread!

Thank you for your reply.

The doctor didn't even call just a text from the surgery with this link cholesterol - NHS (www.nhs.uk) but your link is more useful, so thank you.
