Any mamas on the Cambridge Diet?

Today is day 1 of the 1:1 Cambridge Diet. Had my first born 22 months ago, and my second baby 12 weeks ago so the weight has piled on! Currently 74 kg and wanting to get to 58kg. I'm hungry as I write this and looking for anyone else on this weightloss journey so we can motivate each other, and feel less alone in this! Also tips are more than welcome for those that have tried this diet!

After day 4 you will be fine! Day 2/3/4 is the worst and I felt tired and headachy.

Im on week 3 and I’ve lost over 5kg so far. I’ve piled the weight on due to having two kids and a pandemic!

Every time you feel hungry just drink water. I lost 8lbs in my first week which gave me the push to keep going!

That's amazing! And very motivating. I'm on day 4 now, it's still difficult , but i am looking forward to seeing what I've lost soon!

I lost 8lbs at my first weight and my clothes felt no as tight. It was after the second week that I could really notice the different with my clothes every though I only lost another 2.5lbs (but I was on my period when I normally gain weight)

TheirMuva · 08/05/2022 09:11

These numbers seem so unreal to me! Really hoping I get a big drop like that at my weigh in tomorrow. And after reading your comment i realised i never tried my pre-pregnancy jeans. They button up to my surprise, but very snug! I'm going to use that pair as my guide lol
Can I ask, what do you do when going out to eat? Or are you avoiding it?

Week 4 here and the weight loss appears to have stalled. Sigh.

I always try to avoid putting weight on as my body seems to cling onto the weight and lose m’inocule miniscule amount whereas my friends seem to lose 2/3lbs a week by just cutting out snacking. Arrrggggghhhh!

ThatsGoingToHurt · 28/05/2022 12:25

I think that because it was period week. In the past few day 5lbs appears to have evaporated. I’m now under 14st (just) and have managed to squeeze into some size 14 shorts. Only problem is my big clothes are hanging off me (and they are winter clothes) but my pre-pregnancy clothes are a 10 or a 12 so don’t fit me yet.

I'm end of week two. Lost 11lb first week and feel good for weigh in tomorrow!

OrlandointheWilderness · 30/05/2022 09:16

Lost 3lb on week two, a stone off! Feel so so much better for it too. I've got a wedding to go to in June so want another few lbs off for that.

ThatsGoingToHurt · 30/05/2022 20:05

Congrats @OrlandointheWilderness

ThatsGoingToHurt · 11/06/2022 07:55

How’s it going for everyone? I’ve lost almost two stone now but still 4 stone of baby weight to go!

I'm now at 66kg from 74kg but it's been like this for about a week. I've been on this diet for about 6 weeks now and weightloss seems to have stopped. Any tips on what to do?

This is the only diet that’s ever worked for me, seriously.

I lost a lot after having my baby in December 2020. Then went back to work and have gained 2 stone so trying to shift it again Sad

UghFletcher · 12/06/2022 12:00

I started last Tuesday and my first weigh in this Tuesday. Looking to lose about 3 stone in total.

Excited to see what the loss is this week. I already feel a lot less bloated

HarleyQuinnFan · 12/06/2022 21:06

May I join you all? I’m currently on day 2. Doing ready made shakes only. As I can’t be trusted to be around food due to my binge eating.

Today I had a nice walk around a National Trust Park and then an hour on my spin bike. Although taking it really easy on the bike for the first couple of weeks.

I bought shakes off Facebook but on Tuesday I’m meeting an actual consultant and buying more shakes. Not too sure what that involves but I’m hoping being accountable for my own choices to someone else will help to keep me on plan.

UghFletcher · 14/06/2022 13:12

First weigh in today and 7.2lbs off Shock I'm in shock.

Hi All, hoping I can join you all ?

currently on day 6 and I have 5 stone to lose after having two children and scoffing my face off since, now is the time to get it off.

Workandcoffee · 25/09/2022 09:27

How’s it going? You still on plan?

Haylz101 · 25/09/2022 14:02

I am still on plan I’m week 6 or 7 lost count ha, 1 stone and a bit down.

are you doing it ? If so how you getting on?

Workandcoffee · 25/09/2022 16:07

Wow that’s great news 🤩 I’m on it most days- I’m a virtual 1:1 consultant so live on the stuff lol

love to hear how people are doing. Just keep going- can be hard to restart if you stop.

Follow the steps and you will get there 🤓

Haylz101 · 25/09/2022 18:59

Haha that’s very true I’ve had a lot of blips during my time on it but now I am more dedicated. After seeing id only hit just over a stone almost 2 months in I have stopped messing around as I could of potentially been a lot lighter now 😫

Burnamer · 25/09/2022 19:01

What about if I have no kids? Should I not post? 🙄

Haylz101 · 26/09/2022 07:14

Don’t see why not 😁
