Team RH

Morning everyone,
I started with Team RH a month ago, lost 4lbs the first two weeks and stayed the same the last two weeks (lost motivation when I was told I had to lose weight for a medical reason by a doctor and the pressure just made me stop).

I want to do it again properly so I'm up early to get in steps before toddler wakes (determined to make this a habit), and I'm determined to hit my calories and steps all week.
The things I struggle with are evening eating and wanting chocolate, and not reaching the 10,000 steps (I average between 9-9,500) every week so I'm not far off but I'm still not at the 10,000 mark.

Anyone else do team Rh? Have you had success? How do you keep up motivation, stop yourself from eating more when you want more but aren't hungry, and find motivation to do the steps?

Thanks all

I did Team RH and found it very unhelpful when it came to help and support. I cancelled it and just did calorie counting and tried to do 10k steps a day with some exercise when I could.

I saw the thread name and came on to say don’t sign up. You are paying for nothing with them.

If you are struggling with getting your steps outside of the house there are loads of online videos for walking workouts.

There are loads of free ones on you tube or have a bit of fun with an online dance class, learn bangra or line dancing or salsa?

I don’t do Team RH but I do like to hit 15k steps a day so I try and get in my steps by walking and dancing, I quite often do a Sha Bam class by Les Mills (need a subscription for that)

as for not snacking, don’t have bingeable foods in the house and drink lots and do your teeth fairly early. Plan your food and allow for good snacks that fit into your calories.

I signed up purely for accountability without really looking at the plan and having heard good things. I think he come across as a bit of an arse and is pretty condescending/aggressive about anything he personally disagrees with. He's not actually doing anything special, weight loss is all dependant of calories in be calories out. Move more and make better choices is the key.

I found the calories recommended were pretty high and really struggled to hit them without feeling like I was over eating.

Now I stick to three meals with very little snacking, try to make better choices, drink loads of water and limit fizzy juice. I walk at least 10k steps and do run/HIIT x3 weekly.
