I want to lose 1 and a half stone

I currently weigh 11 and a half stone and want to go down to 10 stone which I think is reasonable for my height (5.10")

I've decided not to go on a strict diet as I can never stick to them if I start to crave so this week I've done quite well.

Yesterday for instance I had a bowl of nutty 'healthy' cereal for my breakfast, a prawn omelette for my lunch, a low fat yogurt and then fish pie (made with rainbow trout, leeks and potatoes) for my dinner. That's a typical day...does this sound low fat enough to lose weight?

How often should you weigh yourself? any other rules to weighing yourself I should know?

I'm also training in karate 3 times a week which is 2 hours each time.

Snap! Though I have bags and bags of excess skin from when I was a size 26, so I'm now 12 stone hoping to get down to 10.7 but I'm the same height as you.

I always weigh myself in the morning with no clothes on, after a pee. It gives you a fairly similar reading and won't change depending on how much you've drunk/eaten that day. I think of it as "neutral state" and I do get pretty much the same reading if I weigh myself every day.

They say you should weigh yourself once a week, see what you feel comfortable with. If you feel like the loss isn't showing up quickly enough once a week, weigh yourself once a fortnight and you should see a bigger drop each time.

I do every day because I am a bit nuts and I find it reassuring to see that it's NOT changing, and when I wake up and feel fat it's NOT because I have suddenly gained 3 stones overnight. But yeah, that's what therapy's for.

Congrats on the super weight loss NN

I'm also in similar situation. Currently look and feel like a fat lump of lard! Weigh 11st 10lb and unlike MrsS am far too short to weigh that much! Would love to lose 3 stone but will settle for 1 to 1.5 for first night out in 6 months in - 3 weeks time. Is it possible???

Any suggestions? I try to get some exercise done but with 2.5 year old and 5 month old tagging along it's not always that easy.
