Do you ever get used to eating smaller portions?

I'm only 5"2 and at my ideal weight (8.5-9stone) my tdee is 1450.

I'm currently 10st 3lbs and to create a deficit to lose just under a lb a week I need to stick to 1200 calories. I'm willing to do this to get the weight loss going coz I keep losing and putting on the same few lbs.

I used to eat a lot less when I was smaller but I've just got used to eating more.

When I was dieting and doing well I was eating tonnes of low carb veg, I would bulk up every meal with mushrooms/green beans/asparagus/baby corn/sugar snap peas.

All stuff that was about 20 calories for a cupful

Yes. I’d up protein like fish, tuna, chicken, eggs, bacon medallions, lean meat. Low calorie and very filling.

and yes, since I’ve been weighing stuff like pasta and rice I’ve been fine with the portions, despite being used to cooking far more, then scoffing too much without thinking
