I think that, if you are in the position to have joined multiple times and still need to lose weight, then it’s clear these clubs don’t work for you. These ‘clubs’ are a money making business, they make their money by setting you up to fail so you keep returning.

You may be better working out how much will be spent on these weekly weigh-ins and use the money on a counsellor to examine your issue with food instead, unless you are preparing to attend these clubs for the rest of your life and never eat ‘normally’ again.

Many GP practices can refer you to free weight loss programs, you could ask for a referral and see if that weight loss advice clicks? They do an online digital programme or a meet in person programme - I think it depends on your weight as to what they can refer you for, but they can also do free gym referrals.

None. I just used advice on here to cut out processed foods and focus on whole foods and veg.

I know everyone has different needs, but for me, all the clubs and methods and complicated rules sound tedious and I know there's no way I'd stick to them - but one simple rule of "no processed food" made it very simple and I was rarely hungry during the losing weight days either.

(I actually break the rule these days by having all bran and the occasional chocolate or biscuits these days, but 95% of my diet is better at least!)
