I am coming up to 50 now and spurred on by the articles about waist size, measured my waist yesterday.
I am 166cm (about 5ft 5.5 inches), 62kg so a healthy BMI. I used to be a lot more overweight but lost a lot a few years ago. I am trying to get to 60kg but not there yet and I suspect the last few kg is squarely round my waist (which is 34 inches). My hips are 36/37.
Is it carbs and alcohol keeping the weight there? I'm finding it increasingly difficult to shift any weight on my tum at all so thinking I need a new strategy!
