Hi, it's my wedding in 10 weeks and I need to lose a stone at least. I'm 5. 6 and weight 12 stones (size 14) A family member fat shamed me yesterday, I went to pinch a chip off his plate and he said 'you're fat enough already' and just looked down at my legs.

I just downloaded My Fitness Pal. Can anyone tell me if this has been successful for them? How to get the most of the app etc etc? I'm 42 and shitting myself for wedding now. ( very low key wedding ) My dress isn't suitable as it's too low cut and I'm going to have to buy another one ( Monsoon probably) please please help me!!!

Hi! I logged onto MFP at the beginning of Feb and have lost 1st 2lb which I’m so happy about 🙂 think that averages about 1.7lb a week?
I do have lots more to lose then you to be honest - 5ft 9 and was 16.4st...

I’ve not signed up to the premium version, I just stick to my calorie allowance each day. I will stress though where I’ve gone wrong previously is when I’ve added my exercise in (I swim and cycle) and then I’ve eaten calories back.
Now I just don’t add my exercise and stick to my 1420 calories per day.

Good luck 😊
Oh and I have to weight myself every morning as that’s my visual motivation, despite people saying you shouldn’t.

Thank you clouds and well done on your weight loss. So you think MFP definitely helps? Did you ever get bored of tracking and knowing you had to track your food help you to not eat so much in the first place?
