Anybody been prescribed or purchased saxenda injections? I’ve just been prescribed them via by GP but as they are fairly new to the nhs there is not many success or reviews online.

I used box Sax and Ozempic for weight loss ,I found Oz better ,not only because it’s weekly but also more efficient and didn’t mess with my head as much as Sax . I didn’t know they’re available through NHS now.

How do you get referred by GP to get this? Is there certain criteria?

i buy it. I’m on a Facebook group UK Saxenda support group, which is helpful. Basically don’t eat shit on it as you’ll end up chucking your guts up and go up the doses very slowly! More slowly than recommended! You can “click” up between each dose, so I go up a couple of clicks at a time.

I’ve been using saxenda for just over 4 weeks and have lost 20lbs so far. I was quite tired to start with and when going up doses but
didn't have too many adverse effects. I’m on full dose now.

Wow! Do you mind me asking how much you had to lose?

i've lost just over a stone now in 5 weeks

its working well for me and no real side effects so far...i've stuck on 1.8 for now as it is effective enough

@TheBolterdahling probably half my body weight, a lot to lose!
