I bought new batteries for my scales…

Scales keep showing as “lo” then giving me my weight. Replaced the battery and now it’s increased my weight by 4lbs! Ffs.

I also have covid and haven’t eaten more than 500 for 4 days in a row, but still gained weight! In my early 30s I could have 2 days of 1200 calories and I’d drop 4lbs. Weightloss is miserable.

Sorry this made me laugh. Bloody batteries!

I'm early 40s and want to loose 5kg. Literally doesn't seem to make any difference whether I do or don't eat. I'm stuck at my weight, but probably put on 1lb a year so it's creeping up.

About to start a boot camp type thing, so exercise 3 times a week plus calorie deficit. Trying to kick start my metabolism. It's fast asleep...

@DirtyDancing snap. I could always just do a few weeks being “careful” and the weight would shift but now nothing. I’ve been running 5k twice a week plus 2 hours minimum weight training but my weight insists on increasing. I see people smaller than me eating all kinds of crap I avoid and cannot fathom why I’m not slim! I’m not massively overweight but half a stone off would make my clothes fit better. That’s all, 7 bloody lbs… or maybe 11 now as I put on 4 in the 30 seconds it took to replace a battery! Lol

I could have written your post! So at my peak I was doing 1-2 x 5k a week, plus circuits class which was weight training based.

Literally the only thing that has ever made me loose weight is zero carbs, zero booze, zero sugar. But it made me feel crap & it's completely unsustainable

NeedAHoliday2021 · 01/04/2022 12:12

Yep, I generally low carb but have to balance a bit as it leads to kidney infections if I go too low carb.

Life is too short not to enjoy food!

I barely even drink whereas all my friends seem to get through many bottles of wine a week.

Well the great news @NeedAHoliday2021 is that this thread inspired me to change the battery in my scales, which has been dead since before Christmas. I've spent 20 mins getting it out, finding a new battery and replacing it. And they still don't work!!! I'm sure I've lost your 4 lbs. though trying to sort it out. Grin

@ajandjjmum haha I’m wishing I hadn’t bothered. It reminded me of an ex friend who had form for bragging about the most random things and one was the fact she had extremely accurate “hospital style” scales that cost a fortune (they looked like normal scales to me Grin).
