I am starting the transform phase tomorrow- has great success with this just before the 2020 lockdown so keen to get started again!

Anyone else doing the Method and fancy comparing notes/ keeping each other accountable/ being generally supportive?

Hello! I started this (again) yesterday. Count me in!

My weight has crept up over the last two years and I really want to drop a dress size for a big party in April.

I started it once last year but only managed two weeks, in which I did lose weight though.

I actually find I feel great with her way of eating. But with 3 small kids to feed it’s a bit difficult to get them to eat the same way.

JaneG45 · 23/02/2022 07:54

Hey!
Started a few days ago and happy to compare notes. The trick I think is to ensure correct portion sizes just like in the book. That’s my down fall away. I d love to compare notes for accountability. First beach holiday in 3 years coming up in 6 weeks! I m dreaming of feeling comfortable in holiday clothes.

I think she does say at beginning get a bit hungry but then I think that passes.

I’ve been feeling a bit hungry - the snacks have been needed! I guess it shows how much simple carbs, which I often have with meals, fill you up.

I’ve not been eating much from the recipes these last few days. I find a lot of the food is more suited to summer. It’s still quite cold where I am, so I want hot food rather than salads! So I’ve made a roast veg and chickpea stew, leek and celeriac soup and tonight I made a delicious shakshuka. All more or less on plan apart from some potatoes to thicken the soup.

I’ve also managed to do 3 x 30 minute workouts from the 6 week book - I find this simpler than having to choose the exercises from the first book. What exercises is everybody else doing?

Daffodillove · 24/02/2022 09:12

So great to see some others doing the LP plan! I started on Monday and have stuck to it religiously but have been hungry. Hoping that doesn’t last otherwise I can see me giving into temptation!

I’m doing a mix of her exercises and going to the gym which keeps it interesting!

Have been planning next week’s food shop: any meal recommendations? I love the scallops and chorizo and Sophie’s sausages (did this 2 years ago so have some ideas from back then!)

I think the Bircher breakfasts are good if hungry - though I measure them now and portions are smaller than expected - I guess that is my downfall! At the moment I m just tried to get the meal plan right and drink a lot of water

Exercise - not doing hers but rather walking a lot and gym. I have weight on thighs and apparently power walking (a lot) is the best.

How’s everyone getting on?

Ive been really good with exercising this week, 5 x 30 min workouts and my legs have gained muscle already. I wish my hips would slim down instead though!

I ate off plan on Friday as I’d taken the kids swimming and DH had carbonara on the table when we got in and I was too tired to make anything else. Ordinarily I would have had a big portion and then completely fallen off the wagon, but I had a very small portion and then some leftover bircher from breakfast.

I need to plan my meals for next week and try and do some batch cooking and meal prep tomorrow.

I made pancakes with raspberry sauce this morning which the kids actually liked (with maple syrup!). I also made the orange purée to go with the Bircher breakfasts and would not recommend it. I actually thought when making it that it would turn out bitter (as you just simmer oranges and lemons for two hours and then blend) and it did. I ate one portion and threw the rest away. Very annoying.

For a super quick lunch I like the lentil salad with goats cheese and the tossed tuna salad. I’m going to make a batch of the spiced carrot and lentil soup which sounds good.

Hi everyone, is it okay to join. I've just ordered the 6 week plan book. Looking forward to getting started and some structure. I find the weekends the hardest especially with two small DCs and not hitting the junk food when tired and stressed.

Are you still about?

JaneG45 · 13/03/2022 14:00

Yes! Been a bit off the plan though as not been sleeping well

I honestly think my sleep massively affects if I can stick to it or not. I need to get more focused!

FlorencePKettle · 13/03/2022 20:19

How does this plan fit in with being a vegetarian out of interest? Thanks!

supertedious · 13/03/2022 20:58

Hi, I've just completed week 1 and am really enjoying it. It's been difficult going cold turkey with sugar but am getting there.
I've also followed a few accounts on Instagram for meal and snack ideas.
How's everyone else?

JaneG45 · 13/03/2022 21:34

Which accounts do you follow? That would be super helpful. I m going to get back on track as holiday in ; weeks!!! Argg!

supertedious · 14/03/2022 10:07

@JaneG45 I just typed in #louiseparkertransform and #louiseparkermethods
and lots of posts with food ideas come up and then you can follow from there.

Yes today's start of another week, I've started with no sugar in my coffee which is something and meal planned. Just to carve out time to exercise 🤦‍♀️

Lazyi · 14/03/2022 17:17

@FlorencePKettle there are a lot of vege meals, but she does like her chicken

AntoinetteCosway · 20/03/2022 15:37

Hello, can I join? I've just done week 1. I like the meals, but am finding the exercise incredibly difficult, mainly because I'm very overweight and unfit! Am doing the 10k steps a day no problem, so might give myself another week of walking before I try and introduce the exercises again. They feel like they're aimed at people who are not very fat!

indiesearcher · 02/04/2022 21:18

Hi is anyone still on this and you for comparing notes? I started today!

HardRockOwl · 02/04/2022 21:57
