Slimming world or Weight watchers?

Okay I lost a lot of weight earlier this year following the cambridge diet but have recently put on a stone in total.
I would be happy though to lose 1/2 a stone.

I need a diet I can follow not only to lose weight initially but to continue with as a lifestyle change forever!

Which would you recommend?

I like eating btw!

Slimming World. The green plan allows unlimited fruit, veg, pasta, pulses, rice and potatoes. All the basics of a healthy diet plus very filling. Lost 2 stone on it.
Have gone back on it today as in the 6 years since then have put some back on.

slimming world is good for those that like eating. But if you fall off you still have the apetite you're stumped.

WW teaches you, you can have your cake and eat it but just be careful how much, which IMHO is better advice for long term.

Both good, both work, it's just a case of following the plan.

WHat are the negatives of sw?

Didn't work for me, or other people I know, despite sticking to it. I've had my money back twice because of this from SW

I did slimming world years ago and it was rather successful, although I found that I liked meat and baked beans which was a red and green. Also because you are allowed unlimited amounts of certain foods, it doesn't teach about portion control and can encourage overeating.

However I have also tried WW, which I haven't been any good at - infact some would say rubbish. I often end up hungry particularly as I don't like salads.

Whichever one you choose - good luck!

Arrgh! I like the idea of eating lots of salady stuff and low fat cakes etc in between. I like fruit too.

I also love bread whatever type.

I am doing CD at the moment as was planning to follow ww when I get to my target weight.
I tried slimming world years ago but could get on with it and ww could fit around my lifestyle if I was eatig out etc.
I think some people suit ww and others sw you need to find the best one for you
(I Lost 2.5 stone on ww before starting cd)
