Dropped dress sizes, but insignificant weight loss. What’s going on?

I wonder if anyone has the same experience. I have dropped 3 dress sizes in 3 months combination diet and exercising. I have really focused on exercise to avoid saggy skin and tone up and know I have added muscles. Still, the scales don’t show my weight loss. I keep thinking my scales must be wrong, but we recently bought a new one. It’s one of those electric one. I basically look much slimmer than I weigh. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just to add that I am still nearly 2 stones more than the top of ideal BMI, but a size 10 /36 and 30 waist in jeans. I am short and know I need to lose a bit more, but not two stones which I do according to the bmi and scale. Or do I? Am I just kidding myself here?

BMI is a load of rubbish sometimes. Your body fat % will have dropped and you’ll have more muscles, bmi doesn’t calculate that.

Going from a size 16 to a size 10 is great, well done Grin

Muscle gain and water retention probably. The same happens to me when i work out hard and although i know it’s healthy it’s still annoying!

According to my BMI I am very overweight, but I am. size 8 or 10, work out for 2 hours every day as well as walk a lot and consider myself healthy.
