Best food tracking app or other useful hacks?

I make nearly all my own meals, and am therefore looking for a calorie/food tracking app which works well for this. And I eat a lot of vegetables. So, if I made a veg casserole out of - say, half a butternut squash, a can of butterbeans, a handful of french beans and four or five carrots - one that would help me work out what the calorie and fat content might be. Or are there other life hacks that people have used?

I also cook everything from scratch and use My Fitness Pal, which lets you put in all the ingredients in a dish, how many portions you're making and then how many portions you've eaten. It saves it so you can add it again the next day (useful for me as I'll often make a big pot of soup to have for lunches across a few days). It's really easy to use and tells you how many calories, protein, fibre etc.

Brilliant - thank you! Perhaps I'll start at the weekend when I'm cooking meals which will be eaten over several days, rather than now when I'm digging something out of the fridge/freezer!
