Anyone else ballsed up their new year fresh start?

I had great plans to tackle the three stones of lard currently occupying my body.

I tried, I failed and now I'm more miserable than ever.

Today I feel like I want to try again, anyone else want to join me?

There will be tears and swearing Grin

Good luck! Are you following any particular plan?

I need to start making sensible choices and smaller portions. I am very addicted to sugar which needs to stop.

I think it’s often one step forward, two steps back when we try and change anything about ourselves so try not to think of it as failure but just the first step in the right direction.

I’m doing/trying Weight Watchers for the first time and I’m going to try not beat myself up if I go over my points or don’t manage to do as many steps as I want to one day.

Good luck OP!

I use My Fitness Pal to log all the food and drink I consume every day, I find it really helps to keep me on track, and see if any particular foods are especially calorie high.

I’ve cut down my sugary coffees to just one per day and replaced the others with green tea, and hot water with lemon.

I have to go cold turkey on snacking, as I just don’t have the willpower to stop at one biscuit, one packet of crisps, one small piece of chocolate. Once I get the taste I go back for more, and more. It works for me, and now I actually enjoy feeling hungry, and plan my meals properly, and look forward to them, rather than mindlessly reaching for junk in the cupboards.

I've just found this, and yes, I've ballsed it up already, one month in and no weight lost. However I am choosing to think of this as the year where I make these changes. So by the end of December I will be in a better place than I was on 1/1/22. What I've learnt so far in January is what hasn't worked, which is essentially carrying on as I always have and hoping for a different outcome 😂. My focus for February is going to be nutrition, I want every meal to have a health benefit, plenty of fibre, veg and protein, and to get into the habit of making better choices when I'm out. March is going to be exercise, once the evenings are a bit lighter and warmer to go on a walk after work (I'm not going to kid myself that I'm going to do it in cold/wet/snowy Feb, I've learnt what doesn't work 😉)

Tomorrow is a new day ladies , I've not ballsed up yet but as I told the Slimming world lady when I rejoined , I'm a serial offender

Don't beat yourself up , just start again and make the next thing you put in your mouth a healthy option

I've been finding other treats as well
Face mask , hair mask , painted my nails kind of stuff
You can do it ! And you've not messed up cause it's still January 😂
