Anyone doing Slimfast? I started it on Tuesday and have lost 1lb in 2 days. That’s with scoffing left over biscuits and chocolate from Christmas. 10,000 steps a day

I have just ordered myself the vanilla shake tub.
How many shakes a day are you having?

RedCandyApple · 13/01/2022 08:42

I lost loads with slim fast a few years back, I put on weight because I’ve had 2 kids since then but it did really drop off! Need to start it again

Just one at lunch time as I never eat breakfast anyway so didn’t want to have a shake just for the sake of it

Me and OH started it yesterday but I failed on the first day after a crap day at work! Had a cinnamon bun on top of the top. Today I have stuck to the plan. I quite like the chocolate ready made shake, the chocolate chip bar and the pretzel snacks. The rocky road snack is not very nice. We both bought the 7 day starter kit. Lots of water and exercising with 30 min HIIT two-three times a week. Weighing in once a week! Never done slim fast before always just worked out and ate sensibly which worked but at a sticking point weight wise so hoping it kickstarts again.

I am two weeks into a diet and have been having the meal replacement bars for breakfast. Realising they are very high in sugar abs not really that tasty!

I am aiming for 1200 calories a day and have only lost 5lbs so far.

So trying alternatives for breakfast. Overnight oats in the morning!

Lunch is easy - soup or salad - to be honest much nicer than slimfast and often cheaper.

CoolShoeshine · 17/01/2022 22:29

I’ve started today. I lost lots of weight when younger using Slim Fast bit that was 20 years ago. Nothing has worked as well for me since. I think it’s the strictness of it that suits me, the meal replacement bar is my lunch and THATS ALL - no naughty thoughts of having a bit more to eat. I tend to not have it for breakfast and have a slice of whole meal toast with marmite or weetabix instead as similar calories. I also have a multivitamin each day and log my calorie intake.

Well day 1 went well but have to say I’m pretty hungry now, I need to get used to that feeling.

ShittyArseHairs · 18/01/2022 07:21

I started it two weeks ago and have lost 2lbs 😂 but I am 40 and still nibbling on left over Christmas sweets on an evening although sticking within calorie allowance. I am always a slow loser though and only have a stone to lose overall. I like the shakes so it suits me.

End of the first week on slim fast for me and a 3lb loss. Have followed it fine apart from one day where I was too busy to have a meal bar at lunch: I did 3 x HIIT 30 min workout (all standing) and have drank between a 1-2 litres of water a day. Have done similar but without slimfast and only lost a 1lb if anything. So will continue for a short period but definitely the kickstart I wanted.

That’s brilliant ☺️ I’ve been stuck on 11st 4lbs all week. Probably need to drink more water as I’m exercising a lot (well, a lot for me anyway)

Thank you…drinking so much water is tough I always forgot and then need the loo every 5 minutes. My boyfriend on the other hand is doing slimfast too he has lost 3lbs with no exercise this week just sticking to the plan. Funny how we shift weight differently - he always loses weight quickly. We’ll keep going though 💪🏾

CoolShoeshine · 20/01/2022 22:25

I’ve done 4 days now and actually feel great - far less bloated already, feeling hungry at times but nothing too bad. Also I already feel that I’m getting more accustomed to eating less. The weekend will be a challenge though.

Pikaso · 20/01/2022 22:29

Anyone else suffering from constipation? I haven't had a proper shit since I started Slimfast and am feeling quite bloated now 😩 also scales have crept up slightly today

Hi Pikaso yes I’m constipated with trapped wind Blush

I’m having weetabix for breakfast and fruit for snacks so hopefully that will move things along.

Other than that I’ve done a whole week now and going better than any other diet I’ve tried in a long while.

RedRum27 · 27/01/2022 07:17

Weekly check in…1lb gone. Would love more however the weekend was indulgent and haven’t yet done any exercise this week other than my steps. I like the shakes (cafe latte) as my breakfast actually even though I’m not a breakfast person at all. I have struggled with keeping to plan so definitely can’t complain at that. Rest of this week will get some exercise in.

Nelliephant1 · 10/03/2022 11:32

Hi folks

I'm just about to start slim fast I think. I need the prescriptive approach as I'm a bit all or nothing in that I'll go from eating really badly to eating next to nothing.

I was just wondering how slim fast is going for others?

jeffersonsam · 10/03/2022 14:37

Reduce body weight is not an easy thing, But achieve weight loss will take little time. So be slow and steady to achieve your goal.
