I thought it might be useful to have this thread for accountability and to get some ideas etc. Anyone is free to join in. Probably helpful to say what plan you’re following (eg calorie counting, WW, SW, intermittent fasting, keto or just healthier eating).

So I am doing weight watchers which worked really well for me years ago. I have a LOT of weight to lose and so get a lot of points. Lots of foods are now zero, to encourage you to build your meals around them. I’m also trying hard to have less sugar this time and up the protein a bit.

Bit of a strange day today as shopping delivered tomorrow, wouldn’t normally have three pitta breads in one day (!) and would normally have more veg, but this is mine:

Breakfast: coffee made with skimmed milk, whole meal pitta bread with butter.

Lunch: whole meal pitta bread, 80g reduced fat hummus, an apple, lots of raw carrots and some cashew nuts.

Dinner: smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, cucumber, whole meal pitta bread.

Snacks: vegetable crisps and a hot chocolate made with skimmed milk. Water, Diet Coke and a lot of walking.

Are you calories counting? This doesn’t sound like very much I feel like I would be starving having that. Obviously everyone is different but I find I’m much better having more healthier stuff or it’s not sustainable for me and I can’t resist the chocolate/other rubbish!

I’m doing weight watchers. I haven’t been hungry as the eggs/salmon/nuts/hummus all good for keeping full- BUT as I said, my shopping is coming tomorrow so I’d normally have a lot more veg and not so much pita bread (even though it is whole meal). I also definitely have a weakness for sugar so trying to address that, eg only having a hot chocolate in the evening not cake/biscuits/desserts etc.

Good luck! I’m massively sugar obsessed and usually crave something sweet after meals. I find a sugar free sweet usually helps and I buy the little boxes from aldi x
