can protein shakes help put on weight?

a friend has suggested this as im fed up with not being able to buy nice clothes!ive always been small but am now fed up with lack of choice of clothes unless i go to childrens section or asda which has always stocks couple small bits,sell out replace 6 months later.
will protein shakes make a difference?and are they veggie?

You will need top do some sort of weight resistance training to stop it running to fat although if you are naturally completely fat free it might not run to fat at all. Either way, you'll need to train. This won'#t make you look manly - don't panic. You need testosterone for that! It will make you look like a fit woman!

Weight lifting exercises, like dumbells or those elastic things. Repping on tins of beans etc.
