Question about slimfast...

Longingforatikihut · 19/12/2021 09:23

Just looking for some input.

I've been looking at shake diets for simplicity, had settled on slimfast then realised it was mixed with milk not water, not always convenient.

I was wondering whether adding the appropriate amount of powdered milk to the slimfast powder then just adding water when I'm ready would be an option?

Sorry if this sounds stupid. I've never used slimfast and not used powdered milk since the early 90s when my granny had it.

I imagine it would change the nutritional content.

Fresh milk has a superior flavour and taste and more bioactive components than in powdered milk. Fresh milk contains more B5 and B12 Vitamins, phosphorus and selenium in comparison to powdered milk, which help maintain the health of your nervous system and play a key role in enzyme function

Have you tried ecsnte. If you go to the offers section you can get a great deal on shakes and bars. Less than £100 a month which is much less than a food shop. You just add water. I lost a stone a month on it.
Id leave the soups and meals though they are horrible.

Do look at Slim n Save too. You mix the shakes with water and they're delicious.

They also do a Taster Pack which is great value- £35 for 7 days.

@Shehasadiamondinthesky do you mean exante? I have been looking at that one. Was going between them and slimfast. Was opting for slimfast as they're available in shops for if I run out. But maybe exante would be best... Thanks for head up on the meals etc. Lol

@thebestever I did look at slim and save. I discounted it for a reason I can't remember off the top of my head.

I have a lot to lose. Hoping that the shakes will be the way forward.

Sorry sausage fingers. I did mean exante. The bars and shakes are the nicest I've tasted out of the lot. I lost three stone at a stone a month. The first 10 days are hard but if you can get through that its a breeze. No milk in drinks though or you won't lose weight.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 19/12/2021 10:45

Slimfast is fine too. Its my second choice.

Justkeeppedaling · 19/12/2021 10:55

Herbalife products are good too, and taste nice
(I know it's an MLMSad)

Longingforatikihut · 19/12/2021 11:13

Yeah, I'm not supporting MLM. Lost too many friends to those mind washers.

I'm going for exante. I want the convenience of 'just add water'. @Shehasadiamondinthesky I pmd you.

Thanks everyone. Wish me luck!

best of luck, I'm doing one more month too.

Longingforatikihut · 19/12/2021 18:03

I think I'll have a very long and 'shakey' 2022. Hahaha. But I've got hope, and thanks to fast delivery, in a few days, I'll have shakes.

Going to enjoy Xmas weekend so I'm not defeated as soon as I start.

Slim fast is OK. Use skimmed milk not water. The strawberry version has a metallic aftertaste but the banana is quite nice. I like milkshakes anyway which helps.

Always use a blender not a whisk and add ice.

Viviennemary · 19/12/2021 18:09

Just get the slimfast already made up. Nicer than the powder. Its a bit dearer but often on offer.

Longingforatikihut · 19/12/2021 18:29

I've gone for exante. Just needs water so much easier for on the go and lots more flavour options.

Have a lok at The New You Plan. Just needs water.
Everything I tried is nice plus I have lost 4 stones in 14 weeks.
We do have a thread on here!

Be careful not to lose too quickly to give skin time to adjust.
